RDPR Karnataka PDO Recruitment Results Answer keys 2009

RDPR Karnataka PDO Recruitment 2009

Karnataka has 56,682 rural habitations including 27,017 Revenue villages. According to 2001 census, about 348 lakhs of its people, out of a total population of 448 lakhs live in these rural habitations. That constitutes about 69% of the State’s population and about 62 lakhs households who live in the rural areas depending mainly on agriculture.

Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department, Governement of Karnataka has invited applications for the recruitment of PDO. Application can be submitted online in the following link

Paper 1

* Computer Knowledge ( Minimum 35 marks)

Paper 2

* General Kannada

* General English

* General Knowledge

* Rural development and Panchayat raj

About Examination

* Examination is on 20th SEP 2009 from 2009 from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM.

* There will be a maximum of 180 Questions.

* All the questions carry equal marks.

* All subjects are likely to contain equal number of questions.

* The answer sheet and machine readable OMR sheet will be provided separately. The marking has to be done by blue or black point pen only.

* The test will consist of multiple choice questions.

* Question paper will be provided in both Kannada and English language for General Knowledge, Rural Development and Panchayatha Raj and Computer Literacy Test. Kannada Paper Questions will be in Kannada only and English Paper Questions will be in English only.

* Candidate has to qualify in computer literacy test with a minimum of 35 percent, to become eligible for selection/ranking. Those who do not qualify in computer literacy test, other paper will be not be evaluated.

Computer was only a qualifying , in that you just have to secure 35% that means 10.5 =11 marks . what ever the final count that would be for 120 marks.

Hi Raju,

Where they have mentioned computer is only for qualifying , its not mentioned anywhere.

In the rdpr site it is mentioned u have to score 35%.

But it doesn’t mean they wont consider that marks for selection.

so please dont tell whatever comes to ur mind.

FAQ:

1. What is the pattern of exam?

Ans: The examination is fixed on 20th September 2009 between 10

a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The examination will be conducted at all the district

head quarters.

There will be about 180 questions from all the 5 papers viz.,

(1) Computer literacy (2) General Kannada (3) General English

(4) General Knowledge & (5) Rural Development and Panchayat

Raj subject.

Computer literacy is qualifying in nature.

No one can guess now what may be the cut off for perticular region,

It will be decided by the authority after the evaluation of papers,

for example if there is a 100 posts for a perticular region then they will fix a cut off accoring to the average marks scored by candidates.

something like for,

GM-some X% (on age basis)

OBC-some X% (on age basis)

SC/ST – some X% (on age basis)

I hav scored 86/120. Still I dont think making it to the final.If there is a re-examination I can make it 2 the final.

When I entered the examination hall I just wondered to see 2 minds writing the exam sitting side by side, it also true that what they can do when the guys apearing for the exam is 1,70,000 . I am just praying for the re-examination and one student on a single table..

This is one news that more than 3500 people have scored more 125 and similar for 150.now the Officers are confused whom to selected for job.now dispointed for us who as score 105/150….and 90/120….

Simply what to say is that no one knows what is the cut-off or anything.

And its hard to assume also, as there were 1,70,000 students appeared for the examination. No one knows how many students have disqualified.

Still the PDO guys have not yet published the Final key answers.

Ans there is also the rumour about the re-examination. There is no use of asking the cut-off marks,but we can come to know about the on an average score its 85/120. This one also depends upon the age- Older the guy chances of getting in are more for the same marks and same category. 2. category 3. Type of study ( Kannada or English) 4.Rural or urban. 5.Reservation to other sections etc..

I’m SATYA, a LAWYER practising in Bangalore. Regarding PDO recruitment, the other case (Writ Petition) is still pending in High Court of Karnataka, filed by Mr.RAMANJANEYA on 05/10/2009 before Hon’ble Judge/s: KARNATAKA CHIEF JUSTICE & JUSTICE MOHAN SHANTANAGOUDAR. On 09/10/2009, the Judges have “Admitted the Writ” and have Ordered as: “ISSUE NOTICE to Karnataka Govt, PDO RECRUITMENT IS SUBJECT TO FINAL ORDER OF THIS WP”. However, there is ‘NO STAY’ granted to the petitioner in the present-case. I’ll post the proceedings of the next hearing shortly.

I too have appeared for PDO Exam & have scored 93/120 (113/150) Marks and have opted for “Bangalore(Urban) District-GM category”. Has anyone scored more than this in Bangalore (Urban)???

Thanks for the info abt the court’s proceedings. In fact many of us dont know what actually is happening regarding the stay and thru’ the newspaper, we definitely have got to know that the stay has been revoked by the court(stay revokement is only for publishing the results and not for recruitment as a whole) but along with that there was this oneliner saying that the result’ll be subjected to the final judgement.

Please keep us posted with the updates u come across regarding PDO recruitment.

BTW am Ramya, having secured 95/120 and 117/150 from Hassan dist.

When there r many clues found that question paper got leaked b4 the exam and many officials caught on the spot with so much of money and question paper on top of it police people have arrested them!! still why this Govt is not taking any steps to move forward.

Even I got 88+16=104 (As per key answer) still to be in a safer side better to have reexam because if they announce the result and later stay from court all these activities leads to unnecessary delay instead of this better conduct reexam to have clear mind set and credibility..

Bangalore, Oct 29, DHNS:

Petitioners challenge govt order on filling up of 2,500 vacancies

The High Court on Thursday sought information from the State government regarding alleged malpractices in the exams conducted to fill up Panchayat Development Officers’ (PDO) post recently.

A HC division bench comprising justices V Gopal Gowda and BV Nagaratna issued an order while hearing a petition by candidates. The petitioners had challenged the Government ordinance issued on July 7 this year to fill up 2,500 posts.

The petitioners had argued that a single bench of HC permitted the Government to declare the results though malpractices had taken place in exam centres in Gangavati, Koppal and other cities.

The police raided exam centres in Gulbarga and Gangavathi and recovered Rs 10 lakh and seven cellphones and arrested eight persons in this regard. But, the government has failed to take action against the accused, the petitioners argued.

The petitioners also challenged the government’s stand of allowing Merit Trade, a private company to conduct exams instead of KPSC. A PIL is pending in the court seeking it to declare the exams null and void. The bench also served emergency notices on KPSC.

2) U requested for re-exam, can you stand a guarantee that in the next re-exam there will not be any malpractice and politics

3) Most of us are aware/suffered of KPSC malpractice in the interview still y are u insisting on re-exam tru KPSC

4) Due to some discrepencies in some exam centres, y are u trying to hold the true aspirations of Hard worked PDO Candidates, what is your justification for these.

5) Presume u also applied for PDO Exam, then let us know ur scores, (guess if your score is high then u wouldn’t have become a litigant)

6) Since i you quoted as ” Before exam the paper got leaked and all the accused are govt servents”

well, most of these govt servents are on PROBATIONARY mode

can you smell a rat in these

7) i have come to know most of the district incharge ministers, GP Adhyaksha’s, Area MLA’s are lobying for the PDO Seats for money, since these couldn’t happen RDPR mins is sacked

is there any chance that we can also file an PIL on court with reasons as

“in these crisis hit northern Karnataka, the PDO’s can be utilised for re-structuring the society, but the govt is delaying the rectmt of PDO’s”

9) what is the gain you are expecting by delaying the process.

10) As per fmr RDPR mins stamt ” requested the applications for re-exam, but none rcvd”

y didn’t u utilised the oppurtunity of the govt.

11) if you are fighting for a cause, when we can see the outcome,

Mr keshavmurthy and others mallecios intention need to be questioned. if culprits get caught then keshav will be appreciated if not then vice-versa because the process heartning both educated poor those who have barrowed money to pay exam fee.defaulters will be given capital punishmemnt so that any sort exam it may be civ services, state services or any emp process will learn some lessons from it. everybody know that corruption from top to bottom is alaramining.

I am one of the thousands of aspirants who appeared for the PDO exams in sept’09. After just publishing the key answers, not much progress has happened on this front except for a few assurances made in the sections of media.

Now that the concerned RDPR minister has also quit the problem seems to have compunded even further like more turbulance in the already uneasy calm water.

Can someone please clear the mystery surronding these questions and shower in answers and cheers to the life of these ever waiting aspirants.

Still Ramnjay case is pending,get the clear Info on that , RDPR wont do anything untill and unless they get any proof of result declaration, before what ever the buzz was there regarding the scores its just fake, still the process is of 20-25 days.

2 or 8 days for Getting the permission.

6 days for coming with the final key answer and final clarification from the applicants.

6 days for checking the OMR sheets.

14-15 days for Alloting the guys w.r.t their PDO DATA to coresponding Dist.

Still its a long process.

Plz post ur PDO DATA in the given format, place means ur applied Dist.

No of seats of PDO has been increased to 5628 permanent post. Out of these 67 percent is by direct selection(through the PDO exams we have written). Remaining 33% through the promotion to existing employees.

That means. Available seats for PDo has been increased from 2500 to 3771.

As per my knowledge The goverment will recruit the posts according to the permission of Finance department. Already finance department has given permission to 2500 PDO posts what we have written the exam.

Ramanjuneya V Writ Petition case#29065 has been adjorned and the next date of hearing has not decided.But if u have a look at Rdpr website rdpr. kar.nic.in, and have a look at PDO Cadre and Recruitment Rules – New u will be happy, bcoz they have given 15 days (from 19/11/2009) to raise objection for the newly created post from Karnataka Govt employees(Nothing to worry it’s part of the Procedure).

Total post created is 5628….out of which 67%(3770) post filled by exam(that we already written) and remaining by inservice people…

So now govt just waiting for approval from finance dept…aftr that they will anounce the result…. so one happy news is that no of seats increased…. so more ppls will get throug……… and govt or court nobody specified exact cut off, so never go astray by rumours…

Guys, IISC has done its work and results are held up by RDPR dept for hell reasons.. Guys having more than 85 have very good chance of getting through, Cut off marks seems to be genuine enough…. Request every one to call up the below mentioned nos and follow up regularly.. 22032135,080-22032132,080-22032295,.. If lucky enough Dec – 8th we may get the results.. Some sections in the dept say DEC end, Process must not be dragged long enough to be safe

On 27/11, CJ had told to post Ramanjaneya’s matter after a week. Even the HC dairy mentioned the same. On Friday (4 Dec) a lot of Green Bench matters were posted before CJ, so I think most probably Ramanjaneya’s case will come-up for hearing sometime next week. Will keep u posted. Thanks!!

I am as clueless as you are about the cut-off marks as far as my knowledge goes and from whatever little I have heard from friends and like minded people the cut-off marks are 87/120(GM)& 88/120(GM)respectively for Gulbarga & Bidar but kindly don’t take this for granted.

since our minister has admitted in the delay and loop holes in the recruitment process and his assurence on the recruitment at an ealier date and also due to some advice from our well wishers we are going to postpone our ASPIRANTS MEET on wednesday to an later date,

here all the objection case pertaining to PDO Selection is quashed or dismissed in the court (Mr. Ramanjaneya case is going to have the same fate, most probably by this week)

and moreover there is no stay in the recruitment process (since Mr. keshava murthy’s case on stay is dismissed) that means no problem in getting the results.

in this regard we will stick to WAIT AND WATCH policy till the next move is finalised

Time has now come for us to be more proactive and to take bold initiatives. We have had enough of lukewarm responses and before we start developing cold feet we should direct our efforts through proper channels. One of these efforts of meeting in person the RDPR officials has gone down the drain yielding no fruitful result much to our agony and the only other option left before us is to approach the concerned minister-in-charge through the media friends and to evoke a genuine response and to make him commit to a certain time frame.

We have witnessed of late various other exams conducted after PDO exams seeing the light of the day but the RDPR post Shobha’s exit has been caught dosing off despite the court’s nod to go ahead. Now this is of some major concern because there are hundreds of candidates who have written many of these other exams as well and this PDO stalemate has left them in the dark over making the right choice.

Enough is enough; friends gear up to meet the honorable RDPR minister coming Tuesday the 22nd December ’09 near Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore, if the results are further delayed beyond the committed 20th of this month. This is high time we bring this to the media spotlight and pressure them further not to delay it anymore.

Tuesday the 22nd December ’09 is the day many of our like minded friends have committed to make their presence in hundreds from across Karnataka in the above mentioned venue. So friends come in large numbers and swarm this place and make it a successful event.

Firstly thanks for all the friends who made it to the event today and also to plenty others who called and encouraged us in this endeavour and finally to all the like-minded friends in the blog and to our media friends (Suvarna News) without whom our fight would have been rendered toothless to say the least. A BIG thanks SUVARNA.

The initiative by and large was satisfactory but cant’ be termed a complete success though. The response didn’t meet our expectations but wasn’t completely a damper either.

We met Mr. Ravi Kumar (Principal Secretary) who is in charge of the recruitment process with our media friends around and have submitted a requisition regarding our concern. He attributed the delay to a few minor glitches/discrepancies in the evaluation process. He also assured that the RDPR website would be updated regarding the progress in this concern He hinted that the results would probably be out before 29th Dec ’09 which most of us believe will happen if he stick to his words. He has said this before the media and we hope it will not be delayed any further.

We have therefore put forth the ‘meet-the-minister’ program for a week now as advised by the media friends which is very logical and an apt move. So friends kindly don’t heed to any rumours and gossip mongers who are out there to sabotage and hijack our initiatives using false identities but be prepared for a bigger initiative like a PROTEST/DHARNA MEET in the next few days if the results are hindered any further.

We would like to see more participation from the like-minded people to make it a success. The number of people who made it to the event today was as expected i.e., 30 plus. In the coming weeks we would like this number grow to 300 plus at least. People from far off places kindly block your calendar for the coming week and support this initiative.

mr. Ramesh was not present in y’day event, so he is not worthy of getting appreciation,

thanks for Sathish, Arun, Mahesh, Manu and other district leaders who have joined us in these novice protest, we admit the event is not successfull due to teeting problems but we assure you the required impact is made with the dept & with the minister (we met the Mr. Minister in late evening)

other pdo aspirants, who had not participated in the event are requested to jump in and support us.

we badly require numbers to show our concern and not these 30 members who fought with secretary are only gainers,

2500 seats up for grabs, so expect all to pool together and infuse a positive energy in us by effectively planning our future actions. it is our right to seek the right info.

Guys, Wud like to thank all those who participated, even more people were interested to be a part of, but cudnt make it up at the end..

We got the same computer generated reply “SHORTLY” from the officials, they cudnt commit a date even in front of the media..

I wud not like to explain the conspiracy happening regarding the post.., Plz gear up in huge nos in the next week , Already 150 aspirants have promised to participate in the next weeek’s event,..

Its not Infosys to write a exam and wait for offer letter at ur home… This is K.G.E(karnataka Govt Exam), Need to struggle at every step..

Hey friends

An informal meeting with the concerned minister Mr. Sheetar happened late last evening around 8 p.m. led by our young turk Mr. Manu and other friends like Prasad and Arun.

The honourable minister has assured that the recruitment process would soon be complete with the announcement of the results ‘shortly’ but these mere assurances won’t suffice or guarantee our needs and nonetheless we should be prepared for a bigger tussle and not rest until we achieve our goal.

Hi friends every problem has a definite solution so as to this one you said 2500 PDO appointees are there throughout Karnataka but only 30 attende for the yesterdays event. This is due to lack of communication this can be solved by giving ad in the news papers about the next protest date in advance because only 10 percent are going through this blogs or net related info better to use print media for filling communication gas among the aspirants. Remember a long journey begins with a single step. Wish you good luck.
